Patch Notes

October 28, 2026

Happy Update "Tuesday"!

I'd like to dedicate this release to all the bug reporters. Thank you for your help in improving the game week by week.

Game

  • Fixed the missing pet drop chance from activities that used to grant no xp
  • Added 22 Abilities Mastery achievements
  • Split Abilities Mastery into I, II and III
  • Renamed the hatchet to logging axe
  • Renamed slag to dross and Slagwork to Drosswork
  • Tried to fix the in-game back arrow's quirks. Seeking feedback!
  • King Onyx Dragon's texts should now fit on one line to avoid the food button jumping around
  • Swapping gear or drinking a potion mid-fight now takes effect right away, instead of after the next kill
  • Character names will now automatically update when you change them on Twitch
  • You can now schedule an account to be deleted under Settings, be careful!

Items

  • The previous smithing rework made bars require more ingredients, so mithril, adamant and progrite drops had been made rarer to compensate. This was too extreme, so they are back down to sane levels (some remain rarer than before)
  • Aligned staff required levels to spell required levels
  • Iron tier smithing levels spread out a little more evenly
  • Golden rod, shovel and staff crafting costs adjusted to match their inputs
  • Fixed unfired pot and pie dish icons

Abilities

  • Pie abilities now use a "hunger" counter instead of HP, which should fix some unintended side effects
  • Pie limit break quantities increased
  • All limit break quantities should now be even, so that they split equally between LB1 and LB2. This means some that were 3 are now 2, and some became 4. The ones that went down have refunded you the extra item, in case you had maxed it. It's in your inventory
  • Fanaticism is now melee only, I'm sorry casters! But you're plenty strong already
  • Blood runes now show as a consumable while Fanaticism is active
  • Piety potions now boost prayer rune saving, and auto-drink in combat while a prayer is active
  • Salt Cure now only works when cooking on a fire
  • Igniting Shot can now trigger Empowered Mind, and Empowered Mind lasts 22 seconds
  • Mixed Earth now only shows as a related item while mining copper or tin
  • Clarified wording on Drosswork and Quench between forging and smelting
  • Fanaticism and Light Bite now show their item icons
  • Paralyze Monster no longer spends sacred runes while the King Onyx Dragon is flying

Welcome to the second pre-release patch!

Please keep in mind that even if an area of the game was touched, that does not mean it's finished. For example, Smithing and Evil Magic still need more work.

As mentioned in Discord, this release is probably messy and buggy, thank you for your cooperation in reporting issues.

Game

  • New and changed items
  • New and changed abilities
  • New camera panning behavior
  • New experimental animations, feedback is welcome! You can turn them off in Settings
  • Damage taken outside of combat now shows hit splats
  • Added Piety Apprentice and Expert achievements to the Tome
  • Added a Patch Notes link to the main menu
  • Fixed the bazaar hiding items late in the alphabet, such as yew logs
  • Fixed the fog in Drymor Mansion

Skills

  • Double ups are now counted as regular actions
  • Some basic gathering actions now give xp
  • Tweaked fletching xp rates
  • Changed arrow making recipe
  • Crafting actions now take longer and give more xp each, with rates retuned to line up with other skills
  • Changed amulet recipes
  • Changed staff sources
  • Increased smithing xp rates
  • Mid and high tier smithing now produces fewer items
  • Iron tier reworked
  • Coal Keeper works on superheat
  • Pie changes
  • Golden rod source changed

Abilities

  • Changes to spells
  • Emberstrike removed
  • Some amulet skills reworked
  • Fixed Dark Twist plus Empowered Mind bug
  • Tweaked amulet limit break quantities

October 6, 2026

As mentioned on Discord, October will be the month of rebalance work, this being the first of a few such patches. Unfortunately this does mean there will be scenarios that can create unfair situations. This is our chance to prepare a level playing field for the upcoming reset and release in November!

One highlight from this release: the ghost ticks in between skilling actions have been removed so overall leveling speed is slightly faster.

Abilities

  • Every scaling ability now starts at 1% power
  • Moved limit breaks to 25% and 75%, and made both cost the same amount of items
  • Abilities above their new cap keep their power, but stop earning xp until you invest further
  • Capped Dark Twist and Spell Echo at 75% chance
  • Paralyze Monster now has a 60% chance to skip an attack, and only uses a sacred rune when it does
  • Raised the sacred rune cap to 5,000

Skills

  • Ghost ticks between actions for skills are gone. This resulted in two less ticks per cycle, so skill actions have all increased by one tick. Double up increased to two ticks from one for the same reason. Net result is still one tick less per cycle than before, meaning it's about 6% faster to level from 1 to 75
  • As a side effect, pet odds per hour increased, mostly on short actions
  • As a result of the tick changes, combat prep, banking and travel became 1 tick faster
  • Lowered vendor values for logs, raw fish and silver ore, raised them for adamantite and progrite ore
  • Lowered vendor values for maple and yew bows
  • Superheat now costs 4 fire runes and 1 nature rune
  • Lowered mithril bar smithing xp from 37 to 30
  • Reduced the feathers from splitting a giant plume from 100 to 25
  • Changed the xp table to match OSRS x10 exactly, slightly lowering level thresholds

Items

  • Removed defense from most amulets. Raised holy amulet to +2 and amulet of protection to +5
  • Tweaked drop rates of early temple chests
  • Moved vials of water under potion ingredients
  • Bonus items created by abilities now take a loot bag slot, like other drops
  • Consumed items, like eaten food, spent runes and arrows or smelted ore, are now removed from your loot bag

Game

  • Added pixel art shadows to players, NPCs, monsters and pets, experimental
  • Achievements now reward Audience Favor instead of Time Crystals
  • Awakening Power is now earned by limit breaking your first ability
  • Achievement pop up now correctly renders above other UIs
  • Split your Bazaar offerings into Selling and Buying
  • Fixed accidental dragging of images into text fields

Highscores

  • Introducing the concept of a Home Community. Not shown in the UI yet, but your home community is the one you spend the most time in.
  • Players now only appear on their home community's highscores. This is a bit of a quick fix and will probably need iteration, such as allowing multiple homes, or letting users manually pick

September 30, 2026

Random fixes patch, let's begin some rebalance work next week!

Game

  • Hopefully fixed the bug where NPCs and characters became unclickable
  • Tapping where sprites overlap now opens the one on top, instead of none of them
  • Fixed a click hitbox bug when NPCs and characters were facing the other way
  • Performance improvements when opening the World Map and switching zones for low spec devices, eg. mobile
  • Removed the game border on small windows / mobile
  • Clicking "read the notes" on the patch notice now hides it
  • Patch notes on the website are easier to read
  • Running out of energy is now logged in the Journal under Energy
  • Abilities in bonus ability slots, such as Sacred March, now show their consumables on the current activity screen
  • Item "Obtained from" lists now mark Safe monsters, instead of showing the same monster twice
  • Going back from an item while creating a Bazaar sell offer or buy order now keeps your search and category
  • The Bazaar now keeps its own search and category, separate from Inventory, Shop and Alchemy
  • The Ammunition category now only shows usable arrows. Arrow shafts, headless arrows and arrowtips are now under Materials

Adventurer's Guild

  • There's now an indicator text at the top right, whenever a queue is running
  • Clarified that the member pets still cost 15 Audience Favors

Dungeons

  • The Gurgle fight now shows which split you're on out of 3, and warns you on the last one

Streamers

  • If your channel's connection between Microscape and Twitch is broken (either you revoked it, or changed password, or just Twitch weirdness) then the game will disable itself and you'll stop appearing in the Streams list. Fix it by re-enabling the game from the dashboard.

September 21, 2026

The Adventurer's Guild Lifetime Membership is now visible to all. Once again a huge thank you to everyone that decided to try it early, and thank you for the bug reports!

The focus for the rest of this month is on bug fixes and general polishing, so we can dedicate October to the rebalancing work in preparation for release on November 19th.

Game

  • Patch Notes are now available on the website and should show up in-game for a day
  • Last week we upgraded the servers, adventurers should notice less lag than before
  • Fixed sizing issues on mobile, especially tablets
  • "Connected in another tab, refresh this tab to reconnect here" now lets you "Click to reconnect here"
  • Fixed a bunch of issues with tapping NPCs and tiles on mobile. Please let us know if you notice new issues
  • Fixed issues with right click (quick combat, quick descend) on desktop
  • Text in the game world should now stand out better, like exp and item obtainments
  • Fixed shaking characters on Linux Firefox
  • Future restarts should show an in-game timer until the servers restart
  • Items with a hold limit, such as pet maps, should no longer show eg. "+12" if you had enough Audience Favor for 12. The item limit is now taken into account
  • Bazaar offer creation now has a dialog box confirming the price and quantity
  • Better ambiance when traveling to O'Rock Sewers maps
  • Fixed a bug where spamming the travel button would leave you stranded on the road
  • Item sources now say "from Crafting", to make it clear it's a source and not an item bonus
  • Monsters and in particular bosses now only begin their attack cycle when someone engages them, preventing unpredictable instant damage
  • Shield Wall and other mitigations no longer trigger on a parried swing
  • Tweaked how and where Safe monsters are indicated, preferring (Safe) over [s] and omitting it entirely when you're actively fighting it. I might've messed this up so please give feedback if you notice weirdness!
  • Tweaks to Dwarven Mine idle spot locations
  • Tweaks to the Progrite 2h sprite so it no longer covers your armor
  • Fixed Ability Compendium pagination bug
  • Fixed a bug on mobile where the Tome of Knowledge was partly hidden
  • Mind runes (Chaos Conduit) and spirit runes (progrite full helm) now list under consumables
  • Fixed a bug that let you invest less than intended for Limit Breaks (harmless but confusing)
  • Removed REMOVEME
  • Updated the Audience Favor item description
  • World downscaling is less aggressive now

Adventurer's Guild

  • Activity Queue steps now show which skill they're for
  • Activity Queue Steps now have Move to Top and Move to Bottom options
  • Gifting memberships now shows a Thank You screen to the buyer as well
  • Fixed an issue with the Activity Queue wasting some time in cases where you did not meet the criteria for an action

Dungeons

  • Clarified wording on Journal with regards to Dungeon Keys
  • Clicking on the Dungeon Key line in the Journal opens a dialog box that shows your upcoming reset times
  • Combined the banking dialog box with the Descend dialog box in Dungeons. Should result in less clicking and less confusion
  • Fallback activities can now be used in the first chamber of dungeons
  • Removed "Coming soon" on Dungeon Key description

Streamers

  • Streamer controls are fully moved to the dashboard now. No longer in-game
  • Redemptions manually fulfilled by streamers or mods should now still get processed by Microscape. This should reduce the incidence of "I didn't get my Audience Favor!" or "I'm not getting energy" reports. This feature is experimental. If anyone's willing to test it in a controlled way, that would be nice!
  • Made wording more clear around the first festival bonus for new channels

September 2, 2026

  • Fixed the queue summary size on the Activity & Loot screen
  • Clarified instructions on How to Add to the queue
  • Fixed unreadable number boxes on queue popups
  • Fixed the missing Adventurer's Guild indicator on profiles
  • Fixed missing indicator for 2x Dungeon events
  • One-off actions, like buying a map, no longer trigger Fallback activity
  • Added "Until level N" to the queue
  • Better sorting and pre-selection logic for the item dropdown on queues
  • Restored the missing [S] on monsters

Thank you to all the early adopters for finding and reporting Membership issues.

Next up will be general bug fixes, then performance improvements and server migration, then rebalancing work.

September 1, 2026

If you have disposable income and want to be a very early adopter, go to Settings, then Enable Secret Features. Once on, this will show a new way to support the game near the bottom of the main menu.

Have fun. Feedback and bug reports welcome.
